A Case Study for Patient-centred Quality Outcomes in Radiology 2016
The Everlight Radiology Quality Regime
Everlight Radiology commissioned PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), an audit firm, to assess the prevalence of quality measurement and metrics in Australian radiology, and the economic impact of implementing peer review and discrepancy meetings.
PWC found both a lack of quality data and a lack of practice of discrepancy review meetings; contrasting with the vast economic benefits, mostly from improved safety of patients, from just such a practice.
Everlight is a case study in the design and operation of just such a regime, such as it currently has in place, and has had since its founding in 2006.
